“The fado music from Portugal inspired me to visit the city in black and white. This old tradition remindss me of the old port capital, with old, cracking paved streets and the rail train crossing all the way along the coast. It seems to live in another century. One of the best fado restaurants is San Miguel d’Alfama, where I felt like I was truly in the movie Godfather. A typical place where all the family works, sings and cooks.

The seafood is good and cheap, and near the capital you find one of the most incredible castles in Europe, called the Castelo da Pena, in Sintra. Surrealist architecture and decoration in the middle of the forest with beautiful views. Take 3 days to see Lisbon, and afterwards is very interesting to go out by car and discover the coast and Cascais village.“
