He drafted the responsible tourism guidelines for Cape Town Tourism, has written policy on the information society and development as well as the links between open source software policy and development. Kurt is also the author of a range of articles for MindShift Magazine (www.mindshiftmag.co.za), a publication addressing the intersection of business and the imperatives of sustainability. He is the proprietor of the Afrikatourism blog for responsible travel at http://afrikatourism.blogspot.com, covering news, issues, destinations and practices for the industry, local communities and the responsible traveller, all of which have a stake in making tourism sustainable.
